There’s the well known phrase referring to basketball: Ball is life.
Is ball really life?
I pondered about that recently. I’d just gone and played basketball with my friends, and it’d been a long time since I’d played basketball. I’ve loved basketball since I was ten, but recently over the years I’d stopped playing basketball and stuck to watching it more. But playing basketball again seemed to reawaken my passion for playing it. Yes, I didn’t play very well, but the competitive nature of basketball drew me in once more. Basketball can be a forgiving sport. You don’t have to be the best at scoring, because you can always put your effort into defending. And if you’re not good at defending, you can be good at scoring. But to really answer the question, I think if anyone has ever enjoyed basketball before, then it’ll always be a part of your life.
