Stop Wasting

This week I learned about how much food we waste. Because of the expiration dates on food, people believe that the food is simply spoiled if not consumed by that date. The reality is that the food could last at least another week, and in all honesty, expiration dates don’t seem to be really scientifically proven. All of the food that we throw out early could be used to help feed those who need it, but because of the “expiration dates” it’s not allowed. This is a VERY big issue that needs to be fought because what we’re doing is taking all of this food for granted. One day we might not have this much food to waste, so remember to buy sparingly and please think of the other people who struggle to feed their families. And remember that expiration dates don’t mean that the food goes bad on that date.
